Best Dressed At The SAG Awards

In my opinion, the fashion at the SAG Awards has blown the rest of the awards season away so far! There were some major fashion risks taken and I loved it. The stars pulled out all the stops and for most it definitely paid off. I loved most of the looks last night, even the ones that most people seemed to hate such as Kristen Wiig in Balenciaga (I didn't totally despise that choker), and Shailene Woodley in L'Wren Scott. However, my absolute favorites included:

Rose Byrne looked MAJOR in an Elie Saab sparkle jumpsuit. She took a huge fashion risk and it totally paid off for her. She has the perfect figure for an outfit like this and she really rocked it. I also love the look of her haircut with the deep v-neck of the jumpsuit. Huge fashion moment!

Emily Blunt in Oscar de la Renta. In another sea of neutrals, Emily really stood out in this gorgeous one-shoulder dress. The color is exquisite ("Oscar does the best greens") and she looks stunning from head-to-toe. Her hubby John Krasinski looks so gorgeous in a midnight blue Prada suit as well. Best dressed couple of the night for me!

Viola Davis in Marchesa. Seriously, all I can say is WOW! The white dress really popped against her amazing skin. She looked flawless and I love how confident she looks in this Grecian-inspired dress. I cannot wait to see what she wears to the Oscars!

Emma Stone in Alexander McQueen. Girlfriend has been killing it on the red carpet this year. This McQueen dress is amazing and I am obsessed with the detail up top. I love that she is rocking a shorter hemline since the SAG Awards are a little less formal. Once again, Emma Stone is a total standout.

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture. Zoe looks incredible (as usual), but what is most amazing is that this dress was shown in Europe literally like two days before she wore it! She looks stellar in a dress that is literally fresh off the runway.

Ummm, holy hotness: Amber Heard in Zac Posen! This black dress was anything but boring! This dress was definitely edgy with the cutouts and unusual neckline. I also really think her hairstlye completed this look. She totally nailed the edgy glam vibe!

Kyra Sedgwick looks smokin' in Emilio Pucci. Can we talk about the fact that she is 46 years old for a second? She absolutely OWNED girls who are half her age on the red carpet. She looks super sexy in this cutout, backless dress.

Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein Collection. I am obsessed with the color of this dress against her skin tone and hair color. She has worn other bright colors before and I absolutely love them on her. The dress is simple, but it really looks so classic and beautiful. I also love how she matched her sapphire earrings to the color of her dress.

Lea Michele showed some serious leg in Versace! You have to be seriously daring to wear a slit that high, but Lea is totally owning it! The grey color of the dress was really different and I love the detail on the bodice. As annoying as some people thing she is on the red carpet, you have to admit, she always looks fabulous!

What are some of your best and worst dressed from the SAG Awards?

Best Dressed At The Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are the first MAJOR fashion event of awards season and they really set the tone for all of the other shows. I love seeing who is bringing it on the red carpet at the Globes, because they usually contrinue that pattern throughout the rest of awards season as well. This year, there were tons of neutrals...again. I myself love a good neutral, but this trend might get boring real fast on the red carpet. Here's a quick peek at who looked fabulous on the Globes red carpet:

Angelina Jolie looked positively stunning in Atelier Versace. She truely looked like Hollywood royalty in this gown. I love the lines of the dress and how she went matchy-matchy with the red in the dress, red lips, and red clutch.

Emma Stone in Lanvin was so unexpected, yet SO good. The color of the dress compliments her skin tone and hair color fabulously. She said it best herself, "It's purple and fuchsia and there's an eagle." Yes.

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture was absolute perfection. She is drop dead gorgeous to begin, but this dress was amazing. She looked beautiful in the blush color and I am obsessed with the hemline and her headband.

Claire Danes in J. Mendel. I know some people didn't love this dress, but I thought the black and white  contrast was really interesting and the back is to die for.

Reese Witherspoon killed it in Zac Posen. She looks like a total bombshell in this red dress! The color, her curves, and the hemline are all totally working for me. I also love her messy, bedhead hair. She looks like she is having so much fun in this look.

Tilda Swinton in Haider Ackermann. What I love about Tilda is that she is always so "her." She never tries to be anything she's not and so she comes across looking comfortable and fabulous. I love her in the color and look. Plus, I met her through my last internship and she was SO nice!

Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci. She has been looking amazing on the red carpet lately and this look is no exception. This dress is so unusual and she pulls it off flawlessly. However, I'd love to see her mix it up soon and wear some color for a change.

Do you agree with my picks or did I forget your favorite? Stay tuned for the SAG Awards red carpet next!

Best Dressed At The People's Choice Awards

The People's Choice Awards last night unfortunately seemed like one big commercial [enter CVS plug here]. So, thankfully, some of the stars absolutely brought it on the fashion front to make watching worthwhile. While I wasn't a huge fan of the looks overall last night, there were definitely a few standouts.

Lea Michele in Marchesa SS12 is my top pick for the night. The dress looks stunning on her and I love her choice of lip color. Totally feeling the flapper vibe!

Jennifer Morrison in Oscar de la Renta SS12. It is truly hard to do Oscar wrong, but Jennifer looks beyond gorgeous. I love the detailing on the dress and think her hair looks fabulous in a topknot!

Clearly I am feeling the ladies in white from last night because I also loved Miley Cyrus in David Koma. The dress was beautiful and super fun. But really, how gorgeous is her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth?

I am OBSESSED with this look. Jennifer Lawrence looks stunning in Viktor & Rolf SS12. The dress is so daring and she is totally owning it. This definitely just added to my Hunger Games fever.

I'm loving Lucy Hale in Cengiz Abazoglu. The beaded bodice is stunning and the chiffon train adds major drama! I'm a big PLL fan, so I'm glad to see her killing it on the red carpet!

Finally, I think Chloe Moretz looks amazing in Proenza Schouler. This girl has serious style for a 14-year-old. I think she is sophisticated, yet very age appropriate in this look!

I am so excited that it is award season and absolutely cannot wait to see what the stars wear to some of the bigger events!
